Toms River Dairy Queen Celebrates Our Healthcare Heroes On Nurses Day!

May 6-12 is National Nurses Week, an annual observance that honors the role that nurses play in healthcare. On May 6th, we celebrated Nurses Day at our Long Term Care and Outpatient facility in Toms River, NJ thanks to the Toms River Dairy Queen. The Toms River DQ has always gone above and beyond for the kids at Children’s Specialized Hospital and now they have gone above and beyond for our frontline healthcare heroes.

The owner of the Toms River DQ, Steve Jackey, donated 50% of the Blizzards for every single one of our healthcare workers in Toms River. Because of the Toms River Dairy Queen, we were able to celebrate all 100 of our healthcare heroes on Nurses Day on the day, evening and night shifts. We are so grateful for such a wonderful partner like Steve and his DQ Crew. They even wrote sweet messages on the lids of every Blizzard Treat! Thanks to you, we were able to recognize the miracles our healthcare heroes make happen each and every day.
