Meet the Intern: Samantha

Hi everyone! My name is Samantha Matalone and I’ve had the opportunity to intern with Children’s Specialized Hospital this past fall.

To give you a little background about myself, I am a senior at Montclair State University majoring in Business with a concentration in Marketing. When I applied for this position, I could tell how positive of an environment Children’s Specialized Hospital was and how badly I wanted to be a part of it. So here I am, four months later and I can’t believe it’s over. I have had the most incredible experience here all thanks to the amazing team I worked with, the exciting visits to our sponsors, and most importantly, the kids. I had the pleasure of meeting so many of our families here at the hospital and that was probably one of my favorite parts. The fundraising events for the kids are loads of fun and being able to make the personal connection to see where all of that money goes is the most rewarding. Before I started at CSH, I didn’t know what exactly I wanted to do with my degree once I graduated but now I know for a fact this is the field I want to be in. Thank you Children’s Specialized for this amazing experience, I’ll miss you!
